Recapping the 2017 ISFFA year, the Holiday Gala is the winter celebration and recognition of the achievements the organization and its members have made for 2017. Focusing in on the theme of “Resilience Through Adversity”, the Gala will feature a keynote segment with Joe Guintu.
In addition, the event also features a networking reception with music by our DJ, and opportunities to take advantage of our photo booth, and the photo charity.
Featured Keynote Speaker
Global. Innovative. Passionate. Resilient. Team player.
Joe Guintu has been working with Deloitte Advisory since graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 2005, serving clients through quality delivery and establishing trusted relationships, developing and guiding team members and challenging the status quo - all while maintaining balance and perspective. His love of travel and appreciation for collaboration and cultural understanding to foster dynamic outcomes and produce results has not only led him to work with stakeholders across 6 continents, but his journey included a relocation to Melbourne, Australia for nearly 3 years.
Prior to his professional consulting career, he immersed himself in a wide range of professional experiences, from acting in television shows and movies, working in the office of tourism in Toledo, Spain and working with dignitaries at a firm in Santiago, Chile.
He has encountered many challenges, the most significant being a spinal cord injury in 2007, but has found the strength and resilience to overcome and surpass life’s surprises and translates this grit to the working environment. To Joe, challenges are welcomed and accepted and viewed as opportunities to thrive. He enjoys sharing experiences, leading initiatives and facilitating technical and non-technical (i.e. diversity & inclusion, resilience, global mobility) forums for all types of audiences. His parents immigrated from the Philippines (Pampanga and Ilocos Norte) to Southern California in the early 1970’s.
